Yahoo asking you to verify your account after logging in

If there is anything unusual about your recent login or activity, we will ask you to perform another verification step after entering the correct password. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access. You may be asked to obtain a verification code in your Yahoo application, recovery phone number or recovery email address for any of the following reasons: -

  1. Yahoo warns of suspicious activity in the account.
  2. You are using an unknown browser or device.
  3. You are traveling away from your usual location.
  4. Log in while using a VPN or proxy server.
  5. You are logged in with a private or incognito window.
  6. There are many attempts to log in with incorrect passwords.
  7. The message "The first time you log in from this device" appears.
  8. You have deleted your browser history or data cache, including cookies.
