  1. It is required for you to tap https://account.live.com/password/reset from any browser on any computer.
  2. There is a need to type an Email address that you are using for your Microsoft account, as well as a captcha.
  3. Select “Next” to continue and choose the way to reset your account password.
  4. Select the option of “Email me a reset link”, you are required to notify the contact email address by which you previously associated with your Microsoft account.
  5. Tap “Next” option, and the system will send you a password reset link to the email address.
  6. You need to check your email account and tap the password reset link.
  7. However, you should choose “Send a code to my phone” when you have a register cell phone number with Microsoft account management in the past.
