Download or delete unsupported videos

Important: Google Photos is experiencing problems with unsupported videos. You may have trouble downloading some of your unsupported videos. The team is working to fix it.

If you upload videos that Google Photos cannot process, you should review them. If Google Photos cannot play your video, you can delete it or download it.

To watch your unsupported videos:

  1. On your device, open https://photos.google.com/unsupportedvideos.
  2. Select the videos you want to download or delete.
  • Download: Click Download.
  • Delete: Click Delete and then Delete.

If you delete a video, it will be deleted from Google Photos, but not from your device if you downloaded a copy.

Make sure your video works with Google Photos

Your video should be played on Google Photos if it is:

  1. At least 1 second long.
  2. The correct file type, such as .mp4, .mod or .mmv.
  3. It can be played when downloaded to your device. If you can't play, it could be damaged.
