Create and edit photo albums

You can create, edit and add things like maps and text in your photo albums.

You can add up to 20,000 photos or videos to an album.

Important Notes:

1. Live albums are not available in all countries.
2. Some features may not be available when you have a large album.

On Computer/Laptop/PC

Create a new album

1. On your computer, open photos.google.com.
2. Sign in to your Google account.
3. In a photo, click Select Select.
4. Choose other photos you want in your album.
5. At the top, click Add Add.
6. Select Album and then New Album.
7. Optional: Add a title to your new album.
8. Click Done Done.

Create a live album

1. On your computer, open photos.google.com.
2. Sign in to your Google account.
3. On the left, click Albums and then New album.
4. Click Select people and pets.
5. In any group of faces, click Select Select.
6. In the upper right, click Confirm.

On Mobile Device (iPhone/Android)

Create a new album

1. On your Android phone or tablet, iPhone/iPad, open the Google Photos application.
2. Sign in to your Google account.
3. Press and hold a photo and then select the photos you want in your new album.
4. At the top, press Add Add.
5. Select Album
6. Optional: Add a title to your new album.
7. Touch Done.

Create a live album

You can set up an album to automatically add photos of your friends and family.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, iPhone/iPad, open the Google Photos application.
2. Sign in to your Google account.
3. At the bottom, touch Albums and then New album.
4. Touch Automatically add photos of people.
5. On any group of faces, touch Select Select.
6. In the upper right, touch Activate.
