Add or remove an account recovery method

Don't stay out of your Yahoo! It is important to keep a valid mobile phone number or email address in your account in case you ever lose your password, you want to change to a secure login without a password to verify your identity if you log in from an unknown location . and to receive notifications of changes made to your account. You can add or replace up to 10 email addresses. This limit includes current emails and any others that have been recently deleted.

Edit recovery information in a mobile application

This feature is not available in all Yahoo applications. If available in your application, you may be asked to re-enter your password, phone access code or touch identification.

1. Tap the Settings button of the sidebar icon.
2. Press Manage accounts.
3. Touch account information.
4. Press Security Settings.
5. Tap Email addresses or phone numbers.
6. Tap Add a recovery email address or Add recovery phone number.
7. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter and verify your new information.

Delete an account recovery option: use steps 1 through 5, then click on the Delete icon Image of the Delete icon. For unwanted contact.

Edit recovery information in a web browser

1. Go to Yahoo Account security page.
2. Click Email addresses or phone numbers.
3. Click Add a recovery email address or Add recovery phone number.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter and verify your new information.

Unlink recovery information from an unused or unrecognized account

Before disconnecting a phone number or email, you must log out of the associated account.

1. Visit the Sign-in Helper.
2. Enter your mobile phone number or alternate email address.
3. Click on Continue.
4. Click Yes, send me a verification code ->> We will send a verification code to your phone or email.
5. Enter the verification code in the field provided.
6. Click Verify
7. Click on Continue.
8. At the bottom of a list of your connected recovery accounts, click delete it here.
9. Select an account to delete.
10. Click Remove this account.
