To ensure that the windows installer engine is current and functioning:-

  1. First click “start”
  2. Then the user has to open windows command prompt.in windows 10 you have to right-click on start option and then select “command admin”.
  3. Then after that, you have to type“MSIexec” followed by pressing the enter button
  4. Then after that to check if the windows installer engine is working then no error message will arise. which shows that it is working, and also you will notice a separate screen which would display the version number.
  5. If your Windows version is not at least 3 or 4 then you need to download the latest version
